Well the shoot in Cardiff went fantastically well, and I got all the footage I needed. Nicci surprised me with her performance, and she let it slip that she’d done some acting work in the past – kudos to her for that!
I came back last Thursday afternoon with some great material, and earlier in the week set about editing it all together. I originally started on Avid, but lost patience with it with it’s lack of basic cutting tools. I decided to capture all the footage to my own hard drive and set about earlier this week to edit at home on my own version of Adobe Premiere Pro. This proved much easier, and tonight was about to edit the final scene where the big shock is revealed and then… I realised I havn’t captured a large chunk of footage needed!
Obviously now I’m not going to have enough time to edit it all together to show tomorrow for final critique, but I aim to have it complete in time for handin on Thursday..
In the meantime I present to you the video so far! I’m happy with my development of editing skills here, having taught myself to use chroma key to get the effect I wanted. It’s not quite perfect, but I’m happy with my progress.
